HOMED held second mentor workshop for project's PhD students and post-doctoral researchers
On Friday, 28 May 2021, HOMED held its second quarterly online workshop for HOMED PhD students and post-doctoral researchers. The idea of the workshop, as well as a number of means to intensify young researchers' involvement, was raised during the last HOMED annual meeting, held between 23-27 November 2020. The first workshop took place on 26 February 2021.
The main aim of the workshop is to provide a forum for discussion between young researchers involved in the project and renowned HOMED senior scientists who can provide their expert advice and mentoring. The mentors of the second workshop were project coordinator Prof. Herve Jactel of INRAE, France, and Prof. Andrea Battisti of the University of Padova, Italy.
Various topics were discussed within the workshop, including research methodology, networking, and HOMED developments, and future directions. The workshop proceeded as an informal roundtable, and fostered a lively discussion between students and mentors.
