Where research and practice meet: HOMED’s new practice abstracts

HOMED’s collection of practice abstracts published on the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-AGRI) platform keeps growing! After the previous two batches, the project has now published a third one containing seven new abstracts – some of which are available in French, Italian and Portuguese.

What can you expect from these new additions?

  • Recommendations on how to improve early detection efforts based on a study of the sites where non-native forest insects were first found in Europe (Practice abstract 9)
  • Tips for preventing human and animal contact based on the movement behaviour of urticating caterpillars (Practice abstract 10)
  • A closer look at the patterns, mechanisms and prospects of tree diversity and forest resistance to insect pests (Practice abstract 11)

  • Possibilities of exploiting volatile organic compounds emitted specifically by C. platani as biomarkers to recognize plane trees infected by this pathogen (Practice abstract 12)

  • Tips to improve the success of classical biological control against exotic insect pests (Practice abstract 13)

  • Lessons learned from a citizen science experiment which helped detect exotic Ambrosia beetles (Practice abstract 14)

  • Insights into the suitability of an Asian parasitoid as a biological control agent against the spotted wing drosophila (Practice abstract 15)

With these new additions, HOMED now has a total of 15 published abstracts on the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-AGRI) platform… And you can expect more soon!
